My artwork is an exploration of being a classically-trained, contemporary artist in Appalachia. Being surrounded by music, nature, and a unique culture has influenced my work as a painter, musician, and graphic designer. I am inspired by impressionist painters in the way they use larger brushstrokes to convey movement or feelings. My designs are shape and color based, often using complementary colors. I try to implore interesting use of photographs in my designs. I have ample experience with branding, packaging, and print design. Iconography in my work often pertains to the environment and music.
